Best of the Regions in Intramuros: Eastern Visayas Showcase
October 12, 2005
It's our pleasure to announce to everyone the good news that the Terry
Larrazabal Bike Festival (TLBF) will be part of the Department of Tourism's Best
of the Regions in Intramuros: Eastern Visayas Showcase. The fair, done through
the efforts of DOT Sec. Ace Durano (himself a mountain biker), will be done in
Intramuros, Manila City, from November 17 to December 1, 2005. The event is an
annual promotional activity of the Department of Tourism highlighting the
destinations, tourism facilities, events, cuisine and products of the region.
We are honored by the distinction and honor to be the first and only cycling
event that has been invited to be part of the Eastern Visayas Showcase fair of
the DOT, spearheaded by DOT Region 8 Director Karina Tiopes.
The TLBF will have a booth during the fair, and we are extending an invitation
to everyone to visit the fair, and visit the TLBF booth (you can't miss it, the
booth will have a bike). At certain days, I'll personally be there to entertain
questions regarding the upcoming 2006 TLBF (events, registration,
accommodations, transportation to Ormoc, etc.), the past TLBF festivals and
discuss the projects of the Emeterio Larrazabal Foundation, Inc. We will also
display some pictures of the previous festivals. Participants of the Festival
(2002-2005) can bring a lank CDR and can view our files and check for their
photos. We will copy any picture you want to your CD.
We will release more details regarding the Fair and the participation of the
TLBF in the Fair in the coming days.
See you in Intramuros!

Raffle
August 15, 2004
We've decided to give as much opportunity to participants to bring home a prize, and in this regard, we'll be conducting a raffle during the awarding ceremonies. For every race/event a participant enters, he/she gets one raffle ticket. During the awarding ceremonies, we'll be giving away prizes to lucky participants (to win, winners have to be present during the awarding ceremonies. If your name is called and you're not there, you forfeit your prize). So far we'll be giving away the following items to lucky registrants/participants (we'll be adding more prizes as the Festival nears):
JAMIS mountain bike frame (courtesy of YKK Trading)
Marzocchi fork (courtesy of Wellson Trading)
Geax tires (courtesy of Elixir Trading)
SKS pumps and fenders (courtesy of Aseastar)
RUDY PROJECT t-shirts (courtesy of Rudy Project)
Just because participants didn't win a race doesn't mean they can't win a prize. Just by registering, participants automatically have the chance to go home a winner!
Support by Philippine Senators
August 31, 2004
Senators Mar Roxas, Manuel Villar and Pia Cayetano, have signified their support for the Festival, and the projects of IMBA. We'll be working closely with them in the near future to assist not only the mountain bike community, but also the cycling community in general.
